Dr.
Lois Duerst
For more than twenty years, Dr. Duerst has been providing quality dentistry in the east metro area. She lives in Hudson, WI with her husband, Dennis, and their four children, Amanda, Ben, Abby and Jacob. Between running the kids to activities and volunteering at church and school, you might find Dr. Duerst out on the golf course, or swimming or biking with her family. She loves people and truly enjoys getting to know her patients.
Dr. Duerst received her undergraduate degree in nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her dental degree from the University of Minnesota. She continued on to complete a two-year general practice residency program, also from the University of Minnesota. Currently, Dr. Duerst belongs to a number of professional organizations and study clubs which helps her stay on top of her field and satisfies her passion for continuous learning. She has received the prestigious s Mastership Award from the Academy of General Dentistry, which is awarded to less than 5% of dentists nationally. Dr. Duerst has also been awarded Fellowship in the American College of Dentists, an organization dedicated to excellence, ethics and professionalism in dentistry."My vision is
to continue to study and learn the latest techniques in dentistry so we can
offer our patients the utmost in dental care. Balanced with this, is my promise
to treat each patient as an individual and provide a caring, friendly and
pain-free atmosphere".
Dr.
Shar Arnason
Dr. Arnason has been practicing dentistry for almost ten years, the last three of which have been in Stillwater. She and her husband, John, along with their two young children, are blessed to call the St. Croix River Valley their home where they are surrounded by many friends and family. Dr. Arnason adores her family life, various leadership roles at her local church, book club, and spending time hiking, cross-country skiing, and playing hockey.
Dr. Arnason received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Moorhead State University and graduated with her Dental degree from the University of Minnesota. Following, dental school, she continued her studies, completing certification in the University of Minnesota's General Practice Residency Program. Dr. Arnason has lectured for the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, Lakeview Hospital's New Parent Connection, and various other community organizations. Because of Dr. Arnason's commitment to life-long learning in dentistry, she is also active in the Academy of General Dentistry, as well other professional dental organizations.
