Bonding is a chemical and mechanical process that we utilize when we place a tooth colored filling (composite resin). Bonding can refer to simply placing a filling on a tooth that has decay, or it may refer to cosmetically altering the shape, color or spacing of a tooth. One of the more common uses of the bonding technique is to fill in a space between the front teeth.
Before:
A noticeable space between the front teeth.
After:
Bonding fills the space, but still keeps the teeth looking natural.
